Vic: Investigation reopened into rapist doctor
The Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria has reopened its investigation into a Melbournedoctor after he was convicted of raping a female patient.
Dr SABI LAL was given a two-and-a-half-year suspended jail term in the Victorian CountyCourt last month for raping a patient and assaulting other women at the Albert AvenueMedical Clinic in Boronia, in Melbourne's east.
The medical board had suspended Dr LAL in June 1999 over the same allegations, butallowed him to return to work in March 2000 …
